Padubidri Gudden Ganapathi Visarjane Celebrations-2015
Padubidri, Oct. 23rd, 2015: Believed to be the longest Ganeshotsava in India, Bala Ganapathi (also known as Gudde Ganapathi} 'Ganesha Visarjane' ceremony was held in Padubidri on Oct. 22nd. The procession started from Bala Ganapathi temple and after pooja at the Ashwatha Katte near Karkala road junction, it terminated near Sagar Vidya Mandir High School after passing through Padubidri Pete area. Finally, the idol was immersed in the sea. It was accompanied by colourful tablos, teams of tiger dance, bear dance,and other performers along with a large number of devotees.
